The group collected colorectal patient data and built electronic databases to generate research in Khartoum hospitals.

Late 2021 – Evolution

Due to increased interest, the group rebranded as the Sudanese Surgical Research Foundation (SSRF), expanding its hospital network in Khartoum.

May 2022 – SCSD Formation

The organisation evolved into SCSD with a broader vision including surgical training and education programs.
