“Excellence in colorectal surgery begins with evidence. Through research, we refine techniques, improve outcomes, and transform lives.”

Aim

To advance knowledge and improve clinical outcomes in colorectal surgery through high-quality research studies, including epidemiological studies, clinical trials, and systematic reviews.

Objectives

  • Conduct observational and interventional studies on colorectal diseases.
  • Assess surgical outcomes and post-operative complications in colorectal procedures.
  • Explore disparities in colorectal cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Synthesize existing evidence through systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
  • Develop and publish guidelines on best practices in colorectal surgery.

Suggested Research Areas:

  • Postoperative Quality of Life: Functional outcomes following colorectal surgery.
  • Colorectal Cancer: Risk factors, screening adherence, and survival outcomes.
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD): Epidemiology and management strategies.
  • Minimally Invasive Surgery: Outcomes of laparoscopic and robotic-assisted colorectal surgery.
  • Surgical Site Infections & Complications: Prevention strategies and management.

Research Projects

  • Mycromyosis case report
  • Rectal prolapse case report
  • Sigmoid post colonoscopy
